About the data

Editorial value estimates — players, clubs, leagues, nationalities and dates of birth are factual public record. Every euro figure is DEADLINE XI's own estimate, hand-set for game balance. Nothing here is taken from Transfermarkt or any other valuation platform, and no figure should be read as one of theirs.

Market values are estimates. They are not actual transfer fees, salaries, release clauses or guaranteed sale prices. All records in a run share the same currency (EUR), the same scope (current) and the same valuation date, so current values are never compared against historical peaks.

Every record carries a stable ID, full name, club, league, competition eligibility, nationality, position, date of birth, age on the valuation date, an integer value, currency, valuation date, scope, source label, last-verified date, dataset version, image reference and licence status. Records failing validation (missing or negative values, invalid currency, duplicate IDs, mixed scope, no eligible competition, unlicensed image references) are rejected at load.

Player visuals are original generated badges: plain club kit colours in a shape we drew ourselves, with player initials. No club crests, league marks, competition logos, trophies or player photographs are used — those are rights-managed and are deliberately absent.

To ship production values, replace the dataset in src/data/players.ts with manually maintained JSON, a validated CSV import, an authorized API or a licensed provider feed. Attribution requirements travel with the data; nothing here implies partnership or endorsement.
